Genetic Disease - Nga Mate Tuku Iho

Our topic for Science are Genetics, and for the past week we have been looking at Genetic Diseases. We were assigned to make a slide presentation on a Disease that we selected of a given list. I chose to do Becker Muscular Dystrophy. I personally thought this research project was very educating for me, in understanding Muscular Dystrophy. I had only heard of MD beforehand from our English Book last year "See Ya Simon". It was quite easy to find the information but was challenging to decorate my slides. In conclusion, I felt confident up there, and here is my slide show for you to view. (My information is written on my speaker notes, so you won't be able to read them)

Send it Challenge

Our topic at the moment in Science is Forces and Motion. These 2 days we were given task to make a Catapult that would send a ping pong across the room. Although ours was last minute, it was really easy to make considering the equipment we were given. It was nerve racking when doing the final tests, but it was nice watching everyone's ping pong go the distance they went.

My group: Tamarah, Ocean, Miria, and Me.

Are 2 senses better than 1 ?

For my Science Fair project I will be looking into the Rates of Reactions and if using 1 of the senses is better than using 1. For example, I'd be using a ruler and seeing how quick it takes a person to grab that ruler using either the sense of sight, hearing or both of them combined. I hope to solve which sense is stronger. Will they be better off on their own, or together ?

Plants and Photosynthesis

Plants and Photosynthesis

For the past few weeks in Science we have been learning about Plants and Photosynthesis. At the end of the unit we were asked to answer questions in a presentation and this what myself and Jayden have done.

Hope you enjoy:
