NZ Entrepreneur

Our new task for Future Planning in Social Studies is researching a NZ Entrepreneur. We were asked to choose a well-known Entrepreneur in New Zealand and answer questions pertaining to their business and their business journey. I choose Season Mary Downs, who is a young entrepreneur and owns the Tukau Law Limited combined with Tukau Legacy clothing line.

Tukau Law Limited is a company that was launched on the 20th of October in Kaikohe and is a part of the Legal Service Industry. Their main focus is Legal for Maori and the community in general.

Tukau Legacy is what she mainly became famous for, her clothing brand that have the words from both Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te Whakaputanga o Nga Rangatira o Niu Tireni. The backstory of her clothes are “By wearing their words, we are able to continue their legacies”.

Season has always been eager to help her community in any way she can, she contributes a portion of her funds that she gets from her company to the community with events such as the Menstrual Cup Fundraiser, food parcels to kaumatua kuia and organising community events such as Christmas functions.
