Gender Equality

For our Jump start to year 10 we started our first topic 'Equality'. One of the activities was choosing an image and writing a little quick presentation about your thoughts on the picture. So I had chosen a picture of a man and women on each side of the scale, and the scale being balanced out. The hard part of it all was trying to figure out what to say. Most would say having to present in front of the class, but I was fine with that because my speech was rather short. Here is my speech for you :)

Gender Equality. The picture above shows women and men being balanced. Now is this how the real world works ? From my point of view, it is not! Women seem to struggle in big time business's, sports, construction work, and engineering couriers due to the reasons of either 'being too soft' , 'not smart enough' or 'simply just being a women.

In terms of business, an actual fact is in 2019 38 percent of bachelor degree level, full time students were men, and women 62 percent. But my purpose today was not to degrade men, but actually enlighten minds that women can be at the same level as men and what really is the difference. Women can be as fast, as strong, as smart. Why does being a girl change that ?

Thank You :)
